Pre-clearance of ‘Flu’ vaccination certification in passports

The IHRB have changed passport inspections on raceday in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic to make things safer and as efficient as possible for Stable Staff and IHRB Officials.From April 2020, we have pre-cleared ‘Flu’ vaccinations to reduce the interaction between Stable Staff and IHRB Officials and prevent vaccination error issues on raceday.The system to upload and review vaccination records for all horses to race this year was initially based on our website – from July 1st it has transferred completely to an App, run by Weatherbys.

Horses whose historic vaccinations were cleared by the IHRB pre-1.7.20 - please upload new vaccinations onto App.

Horses whose vaccinations have not yet been digitally cleared by the IHRB – please upload all vaccinations onto the App.

The process allows the horse to run without the passport being inspected on raceday, although please be aware that the passport should still travel with the horse for legal reasons.Any queries about this programme should be directed to Nicola Phelan, nphelan@weatherbys.ie at Weatherbys.
